Faculty Position in School Counseling Open Rank – Tenure Track / Tenure Eligible
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) invites applications for a full‑time, 9‑month tenure‑line or tenured appointment in School Counseling, beginning July 1, 2026.
Position Summary
Applicants will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research leading to an outstanding scholarship record, securing external funding, mentoring students in dissertation research, and contributing to service to the campus. Preference will be given to candidates who are eligible for licensure as a school counselor in North Carolina and have experience in a graduate counseling program.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Earned doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP accredited program.
- Eligibility for licensure as a school counselor in North Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
- Demonstrated specialty in school counseling and school counselor education.
- Experience as a full‑time faculty member in a graduate counseling program.
- Familiarity with CACREP accreditation processes, including the 2024 standards.
