Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

The School of Education is an academic unit reporting to the Provost. The School is a major center of research, teaching, and public service within the State of North Carolina, the nation, and the world. Summary

The School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a position in teacher education with a focus on elementary grade multilingual learners starting July 1, 2026. This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-line or tenured appointment depending on rank at the time of hire. Candidates will carry out a research program related to English language development for multilingual learners with an emphasis on elementary grade teacher education, actively pursue external funding, and contribute to collaborative and interdisciplinary research and instructional efforts across the School of Education and campus.
