Work Schedule: 10 Month

Position Summary

The Restorative Practices (RP) Coach supports the development of skills to repair harm in relationships, build community, and deepen a positive school climate. The RP Coach implements equity-centered classroom strategies, Restorative Practices, SEL competencies, PBIS, and MTSS Tier I processes, while directly supporting students in Tier II and Tier III interventions and providing a curriculum of academic, behavioral, and disciplinary interventions within reset/restoration spaces.

Essential Duties
  • Coordinate, provide, and supervise instructional and behavioral activities for students assigned to reset rooms or restoration spaces.
  • Coordinate assignments and activities with classroom teachers of referred students; provide tutorial assistance and monitor student class work while in the reset room/restoration spaces.
  • Assist students in examining misbehavior and developing strategies to prevent recurrences.
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of current best practices in equity-centered classroom strategies, restorative practices, PBIS, and SEL.
  • Consult with Principals and staff concerning behavioral expectations and needs of students while they are assigned to the reset room/restoration spaces.
  • Coordinate conferences with families to review student performance, behavior, and other issues while they are assigned to reset rooms/restoration spaces.
  • Attend in-person meetings, training workshops, and educational conferences to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Some college coursework in education, psychology, or related fields (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create functional working relationships with school staff, community partners, and parents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of youth development and experience working with non‑motivated and at‑risk students.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
  • Proficient communication skills: oral (including presentations), written, interpersonal (active listening), negotiating, and influencing.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), databases, and student information systems.
  • Ability to follow through on duties and projects assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
