SummaryProcesses and maintains patient medical records including filing, retrieving and distributing medical documents and reports according to established priorities and procedures in a medical records department.
Responsibilities- Maintains record filing and electronic systems in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
- Performs concurrent scanning rounding on hospital units daily.
- Monitors, reconciles, and audits paper based and electronic medical records; prepares and batches, indexes, analyzes for quality and modifies medical records for the purpose of maintaining a reliable electronic health record.
- Identifies scanning and indexing errors with timely and accurate correction/modification.
- Retrieves, delivers and coordinates the delivery of patient medical records for release of information requests, research requests and provider requests and ensures they arrive in a timely manner.
- Analyzes all bedded, emergency room, outpatient, and ambulatory surgery for chart completion to include provider assistance as necessary.
- Analyzes and monitors record completion activities of suspended physicians and generates automated incomplete record notices to physicians.
- Releases approved documents as the legal medical record.
- High School diploma or GED.
- No licensure or certification required.
- One (1) year of clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Hours & CompensationFull‑time, 40 hours per week. Pay range: $17.94 – $25.25 per hour.
