The post‑doctoral candidate will conduct occupational health and safety research, manage data collection and analysis, publish peer‑reviewed manuscripts, and contribute to grant writing and project management. Training is interdisciplinary, tailored to the trainee’s needs, and includes mentored research, seminars, didactic coursework, and opportunities to teach. The fellow will collaborate closely with faculty at UNC‑CH, Duke University, and NC State University, and with researchers, public health practitioners, clinicians, community groups, non‑profit organizations, employers, and professionals.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements- Doctoral degree in kinesiology, exercise science, epidemiology, safety research, ergonomics, behavioral science, medicine, or a related field.
- Less than five years of post‑doctoral experience.
- Demonstrated record of individual initiative in research.
- Strong analytic skills.
- Potential to become an independent academic researcher within two to three years.

Annual salary is set according to experience. The position is contingent upon funding.
