The Athletic Trainer works within the Campus Health Service’s Sports Medicine section to provide comprehensive athletic training services for all students, primarily supporting campus recreation and club sports. Responsibilities include injury assessment, treatment, and referral; field coverage selection for high‑risk sports; emergency care and development of action plans; participation in teaching and clinical instruction for athletic training, medical, and allied health students;

and involvement in research activities of the Sports Medicine Program.

• Experience in athletic training
• North Carolina Athletic Training License
• Professional CPR certification
• Ability to develop and prepare emergency action plans
• Compliance with the Athletic Trainer Licensure Act (G.S. 90‑525, 528)

• Master’s Degree
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Athletic Trainer at the Division IA college level
• Additional certifications such as soft tissue modalities, dry needling, graston technique, and/or blood flow restriction

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. The holder will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training on reporting responsibilities.
