General Utility Worker UNC - Chase Dining

Overview

General Utility Worker position at UNC Chase Dining Hall (Night & weekend shifts). Responsibilities focus on maintaining cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and the work environment as part of a service-focused team.

• Ensure guest satisfaction by cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils
• Maintain the dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, and related areas
• Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition; report any issues to management
• Perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensure security of company assets

• Understanding of basic sanitation procedures
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing. May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
