Salary Range: $62,115-$110,371

Position Summary

This role is 100% remote, consistent with UNC Chapel Hill System Office policy. The primary purpose is to provide reporting solutions and analytical support to stakeholders internal and external to the division.

Responsibilities
  • Identify reporting needs and deliver sustainable reporting solutions.
  • Evaluate technical designs and recommend solutions when hazards exist.
  • Proactively identify data issues through extensive data analysis and communicate achievable solutions.
  • Mentor and influence other Business Analysts and technical staff through training.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to develop complex reporting solutions that rely on data from multiple sources.
  • Develop complex reporting solutions using PS Query and/or SQL.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tickets and reporting issues, test reports and provide support.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Master’s degree and 1‑2 years’ experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 2‑4 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a highly dynamic environment.
  • 1‑3 years’ experience writing SQL and/or PS Query.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years’ experience with SQL and/or People Soft Query technology.
  • 1‑3 years’ experience in a higher education environment.
  • 1‑3 years’ experience with reporting or data analysis in Human Resources, Payroll, or Benefits.
  • 1‑3 years’ experience with People Soft or similar ERP system.
  • 1‑3 years’ experience with Informatica.
