Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN with at least one year of Level 1 Trauma PACU experience and an active NC or compact RN license for a hospital-based PACU role.
Responsibilities- Position is in a hospital PACU and Pre Op Care unit
- Level 1 Trauma environment with a diverse surgical patient population
- Day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm, five days per week
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Provide competent clinical nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in accordance with professional standards
- Coordinate and deliver care utilizing the nursing process within an interdisciplinary team
- Perform bedside point of care testing for patient care needs
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams for patient advocacy and discharge planning
- Participate in ongoing professional development and unit performance improvement initiatives
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum of one year nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited program
