Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least one year of Trauma Level 1 experience and a NC or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
- Responsibilities include care for surgical patients in a Level 1 Trauma environment
- Day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm, three days per week
- Assignment is for 13 weeks
- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a trauma operating room setting
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning and evaluation of patient care
- Demonstrate competence in the care of patients with complex trauma-related needs
- Engage in professional development and unit performance improvement activities
- Orientation and ongoing education are provided to support clinical competency
- Active NC or compact RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in an operating room setting
- At least one year of Trauma Level 1 Operating Room experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
