Freedom House Recovery Center is seeking an RN/LPN to work in our Facility Based Crisis unit in Chapel Hill, NC. The ideal candidate will be licensed in North Carolina and have experince working with MH/SUD population. Specifically:

• 1. Assists the Medical Director and PMHNP with health screenings and physical exams.
• 2. Provide nursing screenings, interviews and evaluations in a professional and engaging manner and clearly presenting the information to the medical and treatment team.
• 3. Provide on-call support to Mobile Crisis Team.
• 4. Complete the required written documentation within required timeframe
• 5. Provide medical care in a professional, compassionate and effective manner, and in keeping with established standards.
• 6. Maintain the security of the medications in the storage and dosing areas.
• 7. Inspect/oversee integrity of medical area ensuring that it is clean and well-stocked on a daily basis.
• 8. Provide treatment planning by describing strengths, preferences and needs; and identify treatment goals and strategies for each client assigned.
• 9. Complete and document the treatment/service plan when the client enters the service.
• 10. Monitor and document client medications from prescribing physicians both inside and outside of the organization.
• 11. Work with clinical staff to ensure appropriate documentation of Medicaid clients.
• 12. Administer and dispense medications and prepare and monitor medication dosages, ensuring that each client receives the proper dosage in a timely manner.
• 13. Assist with education of topics pertinent to the program. As a presenter is knowledgeable, effective and professional.
• 14. Provide crisis intervention and referrals in a manner that is prompt, effective and professional.
• 15. Establish a rapport and provide professional and effective counseling for clients.

We offer a full range of services to adults, children and families managing behavioral health symptoms and/or substance use disorders including: inpatient psychiatric stabilization and medically assisted detoxification; outpatient evaluations, therapy and medication management, medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders and adult residential services.
