UTS - Temporary Research Assistant at UNC Chapel Hill. The department at UNC Chapel Hill seeks a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our collaborative team. Our department is dedicated to advancing the understanding of trauma recovery and developing interventions that improve outcomes for trauma survivors. This position is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates or post-baccalaureate students interested in gaining hands-on clinical research experience prior to pursuing graduate, medical, or other advanced training.

Other Work/Responsibilities

Other duties as needed.

• Support the Principal Investigators, Managing Director, Project Managers, and senior coordinators on several ongoing and upcoming clinical research studies
• Assist with study start-up activities and regulatory documentation
• Screen and recruit participants, obtain informed consent, and conduct study visits and follow-up surveys (in-person and by phone)
• Collect, enter, and verify research data with high attention to detail
• Maintain study materials, including manuals of procedures and study logs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across UNC and partner institutions

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, public health, biology, or a related field
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a genuine interest in patient-centered research
• Prior research or clinical experience preferred but not required — training will be provided
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, collaborative academic research environment
