Position SummaryUNC Chapel Hill is searching for a Research Assistant (RA) to assist the Project Manager in coordinating and implementing data collections in the Robeson County area. The RA will attend all data collections, provide research support, and assist with the coordination of research activities.
Responsibilities- Attend all data collection activities, including meeting study participants at homes or public locations.
- Assist the Project Manager in coordinating research activities.
- Travel within Robeson County and occasionally to UNC Chapel Hill (up to one day per month).
- Handle data collection activities that may occur after normal business hours and on weekends.
- Maintain reliable transportation and possession of a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications , Competencies, and Experience- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple competing priorities while maintaining high quality work.
- Flexibility to meet community and study participant needs.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and with professional teams.
- Full knowledge of social/clinical research principles, methodologies, and data analysis.
- Ability to follow established compliance guidelines within study protocols and manuals of operational procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using virtual platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience collecting research data.
- Experience with online data capture systems such as REDCap and Qualtrics.
- Human subjects research experience.
