Health Assistant Project Manager

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring an Add Health Assistant Project Manager. This role involves co-leading data collection, coordinating ancillary studies and lab activities, managing information, and ensuring data quality for the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health. The position requires applying advanced research and lab knowledge to develop protocols, analyze data, generate reports, and communicate findings while overseeing multiple complex tasks and collaborating with diverse teams.

• Assist with overseeing data collection, ancillary studies, lab coordination, and information management for a longitudinal health study.
• Co-lead fieldwork activities and ensure overall data quality assurance.
• Design data collection procedures, identify data variations, and create new research tools.
• Analyze and reconcile data from multiple internal and external sources using statistical and IT knowledge.
• Lead literature reviews, manage IRB submissions, edit manuscripts, and develop questionnaires and fieldwork protocols.
• Present project updates, interpret findings, train research assistants, and lead consultations.
• Manage schedules, procurement of study materials, biomarker specimen collection kits, website design, and large-scale mailings.
• Require a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Preferred experience includes advanced academic formatting, working with multiple data collection partners, coordinating large research projects, and familiarity with research design and compliance.
• Salary range is $55,000 to $60,000 depending on qualifications.
