The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and socially.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to develop literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills

* Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and learning activities

* Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, safe, and encouraging learning environment

* Preparing classroom resources and supporting enrichment activities, educational visits, and outdoor learning opportunities

* Monitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviour

* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to ensure consistent support for every learner

* Supervising pupils during break times and lunchtime periods

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who:

* Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational, SEN, or care setting

* Are compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with the ability to respond to individual pupil needs

* Feel confident supporting both classroom-based learning and practical, creative, or outdoor activities

* Are proactive team players who enjoy collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive school culture

* Have a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their potential
