Role: Weekend Home Care Assistant

Location: Chard, Ilminster and the surrounding areas

Pay: £13.50 - £15.50 per hour

Travel: £12.71 per hour + 40p per mile mileage allowance

Hours: Part time hours
- Weekends only

Shift Pattern: 07:00 - 14:00 and/or 16:00 - 22:00

As a Home Care Assistant with Care South, we ensure you are paid for not just your contact time but also your travel time. On top of this we pay a generous mileage rate of 40p per mile.

Care South, a leading not for profit charity, have exciting opportunities for Home Care Assistants to join our Somerset Care at Home team, supporting clients with a variety of needs in their own homes in various locations across Somerset.

This Home Care Assistants role is community-based, and it is essential applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required
• You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Flexible in the hours you can work and ability to work every other weekend
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• You will hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to undertake one

• You must be 18 years or older
