G&H is a world leader in optical designing, testing and manufacturing. As experts in the technology of light, G&H works with customers to provide optical systems, assemblies, and components for demanding applications.

We have a vacancy in our busy assembly department, working within a small team to manufacture periscopes and opto-mechanical sights.

Main responsibilities include;

• Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
• Pack finished products
• Clean production equipment and work areas
• Mix adhesives and prepare metal to optics bonding
• Bond optical surfaces together for substrates and laser protection filters
• Set optical sub-assemblies to the correct orientation
• Inspect Optics and Metal work to required specification
• Follow the MRB process for non-conforming parts
• Perform AQL inspection on some parts
• Ensure history card and other documentation is completed

Ideal candidates will have the following;

• Experience of working in an assembly environment would be advantageous, ideally testing and inspecting work
• Used to working to tight deadlines
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Good with problem solving and results orientated
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good manual handling skills
• Flexibility and openness to working overtime when required
