Sales Representative, Outside Sales
New Kent Coatings, Inc. is looking for an Outside Sales Rep based in central Virginia. NKC is a rapidly expanding industrial coatings contractor. The NKC team are experts in blasting and specialty coatings with experience in industries such as petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, power generation, wastewater, food manufacturing, and more. Our new Outside Sales Rep is primarily responsible for creating long term relationships with our existing customers and meeting and creating new ones. The Rep will need to learn what their needs are, how we can meet them, and sell the customer on our ability to solve their problems. We have a deep bench of experts to provide the technical expertise in the sales process.
Responsibilities:
- Call on industrial and commercial customers
- Make new connections with customers who need our services
- Identify a customer’s problems and how to solve them
- Promote and sell the full breadth of services offered
- Navigate your way through customer organizations to find key decision makers and identify how decisions are made
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of successful business to business sales experience or construction estimating experience with a proven track record of achievement
- Must be skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships
- Personable and professional in all settings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capable with typical technology of the job – MS Office Suite, CRM software, etc.
- Must live in the Richmond or Williamsburg area
- Valid driver’s license
This position has considerable autonomy and to be successful in it you must be persistent and driven. Compensation structure is part base salary and part commission. There is no cap to the amount of commission that can be made. This role will be reporting directly to the President and Business Development Manager of the company. The right candidate will be directly trained in estimating and project management to accelerate their career and impact they can make.

- Base Salary: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year plus uncapped commission. Total comp package expected to be $100,000+
