Instructor of Saxophone and Jazz Studies

Join Eastern Illinois University’s Department of Music as an Instructor of Music Saxophone and Jazz Studies (full‑time, non‑tenure‑track). Begin in August 2026 with a renewable 3‑year appointment.

• Teach applied saxophone courses covering classical and jazz styles.
• Direct a jazz ensemble and/or coach a jazz combo.
• Recruit students for undergraduate and graduate music programs.

• Master’s Degree in Music;
  Doctorate or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Accomplished musician and teacher with collegiate teaching experience and demonstrable student success.
• Engaging teaching manner and outstanding interpersonal skills for recruitment and collaboration.
