Aboutthe Role
As the National Accounts Manager at Smithey Ironware, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key national wholesale accounts. You will work closely with the Director of Sales and the broader sales team to execute strategies that drive profitable growth, increase brand visibility, and strengthen Smithey’s presence across premium retail and corporate channels.
What You’ll Do- Manage and grow strategic relationships with national wholesale accounts, ensuring alignment with Smithey’s brand and business goals. Currently three accounts with 180+ combined doors
- Develop annual sales plans and account strategies in collaboration with leadership.
- Analyze account performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, and product teams to ensure on‑time fulfillment, promotional alignment, and effective merchandising.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account data within Net Suite, Shopify and Pipedrive.
- Lead line reviews, seasonal planning meetings, and business reviews with key partners.
- Coordinate with internal creative and marketing teams to develop in‑store and digital merchandising tools.
- Support the execution of trade shows and customer visits.
- Monitor pricing, inventory levels, and profitability metrics to ensure sustainable growth.
- Provide regular reports on account performance, competitive activity, and customer feedback.
- Onboard one new major national account with 10+ doors per calendar year.
- Hire, train and manage a team of brand ambassadors that service and drive sell‑through in national account doors nationwide.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing key or national accounts in the consumer goods, home, or lifestyle sectors.
- Proven success in driving revenue growth and strengthening retail partnerships.
- Strong understanding of wholesale sales cycles and merchandising best practices.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working within a CRM system (Net Suite preferred).
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working cross‑functionally.
- Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach and a passion for craftsmanship and brand storytelling.
- Results‑driven, self‑motivated, and highly collaborative.
Salary: Base Pay + Commission + Bonus
Location: North Charleston, SC – In office with travel requirements (up to 25%)
