The opportunity

Manages the sales of customer accounts for key retail customers. This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team.

The role

  • Manages and leads direction for product placement and sales of accounts
  • Collaborates with Director and Account Managers on priorities and business strategies
  • Collaborates with Sales Analyst functions in assigned categories
  • Leads efforts to align customer orders with monthly ship forecasts
  • Leads team's efforts in providing Forecasting with accurate monthly demand requirements
  • Leads category team's efforts to deliver customer service metrics - order fill rates, store in-stock percentages, Distribution Center outs, forecast accuracies and purchase order on-time arrival compliance
  • Manages the customer relationship in pricing, product placement, analysis, orders, replenishment
  • Leads team to make sure required data and information is complete for buyer meetings
  • Works cross-functionally in order to execute new item commitment, setup, ship dates, and modular execution
  • Trains and develops direct reports technical and soft skill sets
  • Schedules and attends buyer meetings and travels as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

The requirements

  • University degree + Minimum of 8 years of relevant and managerial experience
    OR
    University degree + 10 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Etc.)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form
  • Must be able to collaborate with internal and external business partners to drive results and resolve issues
  • Experience with Customer Relationships and problem solving; ability to manage customer relations
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Experience with in a manufacturing company supplying product to Retail Customers preferred
  • Vision is required in order to operate a keyboard and to read/analyze complex data
  • Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, communicate with customers via phone, and to hear/understand safety warnings
