Summer Camp Counselor – Forest Lakes Park

Join St. Andrew's Parks and Playground as a Summer Camp Counselor in our 2026 program. This seasonal position runs from June 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026 at Forest Lakes Park, 1822 Gun Club Road.

The role involves caring for and engaging children aged 5–12 in a variety of activities such as games, arts & crafts, sports, and nature exploration. Counselors may work half‑day or full‑day shifts and are expected to attend mandatory pre‑camp training sessions (May 11‑29) from 6:00 PM to 8:00‑9:00 PM.

Salary: $17.00–$18.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Benefits: Full family membership to the fitness center for the season; free camp T‑shirts; medical care membership available with low monthly premiums ($70).

Reports To: Program Director.

Job Type: Temporary / Entry level.

• Plan and supervise age‑appropriate activities for campers.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive camp environment.
• Collaborate with other counselors and staff to deliver a cohesive program.
• Attend mandatory training and performance evaluations.

• Passion for working with children and strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college major in early education or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in child care or camp settings preferred.
• Must be reliable, flexible, and able to work varying shifts.
