* Job Summary:

** The Medical University of South Carolina, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is offering a 12-month fellowship with subspecialty training in reproductive psychiatry. Applicants that have completed an ACGME accredited psychiatry or obstetrics and gynecology residency prior to the start of fellowship are eligible to apply. The fellowship start date is July 1st, 2026.The fellowship is embedded in the Women’s Reproductive Behavioral Health Division, a national leader in clinical care, education and training, and clinical research in reproductive psychiatry.

The fellow will work with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, obstetricians and gynecologists, psychologists, therapists, care coordinators, community-based doulas, and peer recovery support specialists. The fellow will have exposure to clinical programs within the division, and dedicated time for scholarly work related to reproductive psychiatry education and training and/or clinical research. Fellowship training experiences can be tailored to the individual’s interests and fellows are encouraged to explore and develop clinical or research interests as they relate to Women’s Mental Health across the lifespan.
** Clinical Experiences Include In-person and Virtual Outpatient Care
*** Reproductive Psychiatry Clinic  + Pre-pregnancy consultation and pregnancy and postpartum care focused on treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, grief/loss, stress-related disorders/PTSD, ADHD and others.  + Birth preference focused on pregnant individuals with prior birth/trauma in preparation for labor and delivery.
* Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder Clinic Perinatal Psychiatry Access Program (Moms IMPACTT; )
** Educational Experiences
** Fellows will participate in the National Curriculum for Reproductive Psychiatry fellow series. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in medical student and psychiatry resident education, and presentations at local and national conferences, grand rounds, and/or community events.
** Research Experiences
** Fellows will have protected time to complete a scholarly project and participate in clinical research, if desired. Applicants seeking to develop a career in reproductive psychiatry research are encouraged to apply and inquire about opportunities for protected research time and additional training.

Physicians who have completed residency training in psychiatry or obstetrics and gynecology. We are unable to accept applicants with a J1 visa.
