AB Staffing is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for the upcoming 2024 / 2025 extended school year (ESY).

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited college or university
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate / License in California
• Proficiency in subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting special education
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavioral and learning delays (preferred)
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; see and read computer and printed materials; hear and understand speech; speak clearly; follow oral and written instructions; may require lifting up to 40 pounds

Job Description :

• Caseload and classroom details vary by school location; recruitment specialists can discuss specifics during application
• Contract through the 2024 / 2025 ESY, 37.5 to 40 hours per week, following the academic calendar

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and programs tailored to students’ needs
• Adapt curriculum based on IEPs and learning styles
• Maintain communication with parents and collaborate on strategies
• Create a safe, positive, and organized learning environment
• Manage behavior and promote a productive classroom
• Provide individualized and group instruction using specialized techniques
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Modify curriculum and materials to meet IEP goals
• Conduct evaluations and maintain student records
• Collaborate with educators and specialists to support student success
• Participate in professional development
• Ensure compliance with regulations and complete documentation

Salary :

• $1,950.00 – $2,135.00 per week
