The Radiation Therapist provides radiation therapy treatments in accordance with established policies and procedures of Trident Health System. In collaboration with Radiation Oncologist, dosimetry, cancer center coordinator, front office staff, the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the healthcare team, the Radiation Therapist evaluates the treatment plan, delivers accurate radiation therapy treatments, performs simulation, CT scans, maintain accurate radiation therapy treatments records and insures proper scheduling and billing.
The job may also include assisting with the development of radiation therapy staff scheduling, participation in morning meetings, weekly chart review, participation in process improvements and other responsibilities as required by management.
- Current licensure in the State of South Carolina as a Radiation Therapist; registered or registry eligible by ARRT.
- BLS – Healthcare provider and other certifications as defined by department.
- Graduate of an ARRT accredited program with a degree or certificate in Radiation Therapy.
