Forensic Nurse - ART ED

Job Summary

Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal‑directed patient care at the competent level under general supervision. Utilizes the nursing process principles to deliver safe and effective care, interacting with the health care team to achieve desired results.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct and lead team members, collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals to provide age‑appropriate care.
• Deliver patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment ensuring patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Participate in shared governance, adherence to standards of care, peer review, and professional development promoting leadership and clinical excellence.
• Coordinate effective and efficient delivery of patient care services through application of care management principles.

• Bachelor degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience, including three (3) years as a Registered Nurse and experience as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.
• Proficiency in public speaking, medical terminology, and written and oral communication.

• Licensed registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or an American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, and work in confined/cramped spaces.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs unassisted and lift/ lower objects 50 lbs from/to floor from/to 36 inches unassisted.
• Ability to perform gross motor activities with fingers and hands, fine manipulation, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to maintain hearing acuity, vision, and peripheral vision.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in a latex‑safe environment.
