The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Hospital’s Clinical Neurophysiology Department (CNPS) offers a wide range of neurological diagnostic tests, including EEG, EMG, IONM, and Neurovascular Ultrasound. MUSC is a Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center with advanced technology and expert physicians. Our long-term EEG patients are cared for in a dedicated Inpatient EEG Monitoring Room, staffed 24/7 to ensure high-quality diagnostics and prompt patient care.
As MUSC’s neuroscience program expands, we seek dedicated professionals passionate about delivering excellent healthcare. Our Clinical Neurophysiology Lab includes five accredited labs—an IOM team, Outpatient EEG, Inpatient EEG, EMG, and Neurovascular teams. We are one of the few labs nationwide with multiple neurophysiology lab accreditations, and our technologists are among the most qualified in the country. Job Description: The CLTM EEG Technologist reports to the Inpatient EEG Coordinator. Under supervision, records neurophysiologic potentials using electronic equipment for diagnosing nervous system diseases. Demonstrates competence, works under indirect supervision, mentors staff, and participates in committees and training.

Minimum Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Electroneuro diagnostic program or equivalent, registered as an EEG Technician by ABRET, maintained.
- Certified Long Term Monitoring Technician by ABRET.
- At least two years of EEG Tech experience.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and shifts.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and ability to follow detailed instructions and observe patients accurately.
