We are staffing a NEW Interfacility Transport team to transport our patients between our 4 free‑standing Emergency Departments and our 2 facilities, Trident Hospital and Summerville Hospital. We are growing our fleet with NEW state‑of‑the‑art ambulances. We look to start our new staff in early January 2026.

We have multiple EMT and Paramedic positions available, both night and day shifts. The expectation will be to work rotating weekends as well.

• The Interfacility Transport EMT will operate on the EMS Transport Services’ Team. The primary duty will be to assist the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of patients on the Interfacility Transport Services’ ambulance. The Interfacility Transport EMT will respond to Interfacility Transport Call‑Center requests, coordinate with other healthcare providers, and facilitate transport appropriately.
• As needed, the Interfacility Transport EMT will function within the free‑standing Emergency Departments and the main Emergency Department. While working in the Emergency Department, the Interfacility Transport EMT will provide quality care to patients under the direction of a Paramedic or RN, in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital.
• The Interfacility Transport EMT will perform all duties identified in their job description, approved Medical Protocols, and departmental policy. Skills will be validated by competency assessments under the License of the Interfacility Transport Medical Director.
• The Interfacility Transport EMT will report to the Chief of Interfacility Transport Operations. They will serve as a member of the Healthcare team through active communication, documentation, feedback, and assistance as needed or requested.
