As a Bartender at The Rooftop, you’ll create memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced, fun, high-energy environment. From expertly crafted cocktails to genuine hospitality, you’ll be at the center of what makes Charleston’s favorite rooftop bar legendary.

• Deliver warm, engaging service while greeting and assisting bar guests
• Prepare, garnish, and serve cocktails using established recipes and portion standards
• Execute drink orders quickly and accurately for both bar guests and the serving team
• Maintain accountability for all beverages and guest checks
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues with professionalism and urgency
• Ensure compliance with all South Carolina, Federal, and company alcohol regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift
• Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, and batch cocktails with care and attention to quality
• Practice “Clean as You Go” and strong teamwork across all hotel departments
• Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador of The Vendue, its amenities, and local attractions

Note that this is not an inclusive list and team members are at times asked to assist with other tasks to best serve the business. Other tasks may be assigned by The Rooftop General Manager or other managers.

Located at 19 Vendue Range, Charleston, SC in the heart of Charleston’s French Quarter and Art District - steps away from Waterfront Park, Charleston City Market, and Rainbow Row.

• $3.50/hour + generous tips.
• Average earnings: $20-25/hour

• 3 years of bartending experience (high-volume preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of industry's best practices.

• Passion for guest service and hospitality excellence
• Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and beverage service
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math and POS experience
• Ability to obtain TIPS certification within 30 days (paid by The Vendue)
• Fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused atmosphere
• Outdoor, covered rooftop with varying weather conditions
• Standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
