Minimum 3 years in commercial glazing project management
A commercial glazing contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects involving stick-built curtain wall
, storefront systems
, and interior upfit glazing
. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Manage all phases of glazing projects from award to closeout, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and installation oversight
- Coordinate with general contractors, architects, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure scope, design intent, and timelines are met
- Review shop drawings, submittals, material orders, and installation logistics
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports
- Conduct site visits to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Lead project meetings and provide timely communication to stakeholders
- Manage cost control, forecasting, and billing to ensure project profitability
- Support field crews with technical guidance related to stick curtain wall, storefront, and interior glass systems
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the commercial glazing industry
- Strong knowledge of stick curtain wall, storefront, and interior upfit glazing systems
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
- Experience working with fabrication or installation teams
- Understanding of aluminum systems, glass types, and glazing installation methods
- Familiarity with safety regulations and construction-site best practices
