QPCS, in partnership with Titan‑AUXO, is looking for two dedicated oncology nurses to provide Chemotherapy/Infusion to support our nation’s Veterans at the esteemed Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System in Charleston, South Carolina.

Position Details

Long‑term opportunity:
Minimum two‑year full‑time assignment with up to four optional extensions, for a total possible duration of six years.

Full‑time, benefits‑eligible role with comprehensive fringe benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology and hematology patients in the Infusion Suite.
  • Assess, monitor, and treat patient responses to chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and transfusions, proactively addressing complications.
  • Manage central lines (Port‑A‑Cath, PASport, PICC), perform venipuncture, administer blood products, and handle high‑alert medications safely.
  • Develop individualized teaching plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using VA systems and uphold the highest standards of nursing and ethical care.
Qualifications
  • Current, active RN license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Minimum two (2) years of recent direct patient care experience, with at least six months in an Infusion Suite performing chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration.
  • Completion of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Course (ONCC Certification preferred).
  • CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred for critical care).
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN or higher preferred).
Additional Requirements
  • Up‑to‑date immunizations and health screenings as per VA guidelines.
  • Ability to work with COVID‑19 positive patients or those under investigation, in compliance with VA vaccine mandates (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation).
  • Strong computer literacy and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.
  • Must be local to Charleston, SC—no travel contracts available.
