Job Overview

Our Mental Health House Supervisor – RN role at HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is part of Live Oven Mental Health and Wellness Center. The supervisor provides direction and oversight of all house-wide functions during a designated shift, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities industrial Quality
  • Assume responsibility for supervision and coordination of all house‑wide functions during the designated shift; make decisions regarding patient care and staff management.
  • Participate in monitoring, evaluation, and delivery of nursing care in accordance with established policies 칀촉 and procedures to meet patient and family needs.
  • Prioritize clinical rounds to evaluate ongoing staff needs and identify additional measures to provide assistance when necessary.
  • Assign nursing staff to specific clinical areas within the hospital to meet patient care needs; adjust staffing by reassigning staff, assigning PRN and agency personnel, and coordinating overtime.
  • Serve as authority in the absence of other members of the nursing management/administrative team.
  • Direct staff members appropriately and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Support the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

    Note circulation processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
  • Facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments; ensure staff have appropriate clinical competencies.
  • Act as resource for employee health issues for unit charge nurses/supervisors and other hospital supervisors.
  • Participate in emergency and disaster preparedness with regulatory agencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to all emergency codes within the hospital and communicate with the medical examiner, police and fire departments, and organ donation agencies.

  • Consult with unit supervisors and charge nurses regarding staff performance and give feedback as necessary.

  • Serve as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems coordinating ongoing care needs.
  • Support physician partnership.
  • Maintain current professional knowledge and skills in accordance with established methods of the department.

  • Represent the organization positively within the community, participate in company‑supported community/patient events and in‑services.
  • Serve as a representative of employee health nurse during non‑business hours, as needed.
  • Manage clinical projects and serve on hospital committees as assigned.
  • Provide input into the formalization, implementation, and evaluation of long and short‑term goals for the nursing department.
Finance
  • Coordinate with the management/administrative team to ensure staff productivity and appropriate resource utilization to achieve high‑quality patient telefo; trust while meeting financial performance goals and objectives.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with handling supplies and equipment.
Other Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
