American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a Level I trauma academic medical center, requiring SC or compact RN licensure and scrub experience preferred.

• Work in the Main Operating Room with 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
• 3x12 hour day shifts, 6:30am-7:00pm
• On-call required, up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks
• Weekend requirement of up to one working shift every 4 weeks
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
• RNs trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
• EPIC EMR used for charting

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• 2 years of experience strongly preferred
• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• SSN required for consideration

• Level I Trauma Center, academic teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 staffed beds
• Nursing team composed of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists
• Nurse-driven department providing cutting-edge surgical technology
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Required to work at least one holiday period (Christmas or New Year's)
• Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval and unit needs
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs
• Previous MUSC perm staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
• 60-mile radius rule applies, with non-local candidates prioritized
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
