American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a free-standing ER requiring SC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.

• Free-standing Emergency Department setting
• 3x12-hour day shifts from 11a-11p
• Patient ratios of 1:5-7
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Possible float to Kiawah FSED and Summerville FSED as needed
• Epic EMR used

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of general Emergency Department experience (adult/peds) required
• CVA experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• SSN required for consideration

• Care for general adult/pediatric emergency population including orthopedic, psychiatric, and neurological cases
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG, IV therapy, and emergency medication administration utilized
• Triage and isolation precaution/PPE protocols followed
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval based on unit needs
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Must reside within 60 miles for local candidate consideration
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
