American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring prior IR or critical care nursing experience and an active SC or Compact RN license.

• Work in the Vascular Interventional Radiology department of a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
• Rotating shifts of either 4x10-hour (7:30a-6p) or 3x12-hour (7a-7:30p) days
• Rotating on-call coverage for weeknights, weekends, and holidays required
• Must arrive within 30 minutes of an on-call VIR trauma activation
• May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Assignments rotate weekly (and occasionally same-day) between two nearby downtown campus locations, Main Hospital and Ashley River Tower
• Uses Epic EMR
• 1:1 patient ratio

• Active South Carolina or Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ER, trauma, ICU, critical care, or procedural nursing experience required
• Moderate sedation experience required
• Pediatric/adult vascular IR and circulating experience for interventional procedures highly preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Radiation badge must be provided by agency, as the facility does not supply one to travelers

• Facility provides scrubs
• Teaching hospital with Magnet designation and Level 1 Trauma status
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius, with non-local candidates prioritized
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for manager approval
• During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
• Parking is free except for a cost during nights and weekends, for which an on-call parking pass is provided at no charge
