Travel RN - Mother Baby - Post Partum

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Mother Baby/Postpartum unit requiring SC or compact RN license and 1+ year of Mother Baby couplet care experience.

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NRP certification required (WIC service RNs must attain within 6 months of hire if not already held)
• Minimum 1 year of Mother Baby couplet care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing required
• BSN preferred, highly desired

• Nursing Postpartum unit providing couplet care for mothers and newborns
• 13-week assignment on night shift
• Working every other weekend with holidays as needed
• Floating to sister facility nearby as needed
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• Uses Cerner EMR for charting
• May be required to take call based on department needs
• Provide nursing care following South Carolina Nurse Practice Act standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using professional nursing theory and practice
• Frequent interaction with patients, families, physicians, and visitors
• Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting/moving patients, and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials common to healthcare settings
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a 30-60 day break
