Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated academic medical center requiring scrub and circulating skills.

• Active SC or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• 2 years of OR experience strongly preferred
• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• SSN required for consideration

• Work in a 21-suite Main Operating Room covering Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics specialties
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:30a-7p)
• Up to 4 call shifts required every 4 weeks
• Up to one working weekend shift required every 4 weeks
• Required to work at least one holiday period (Christmas or New Year's)
• Floating required within scope to like units or sister facilities
• Uses EPIC charting system
• RN team trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
• Work within a Level I Trauma, academic teaching, Magnet-designated hospital with 820 staffed beds
• Nursing team composed of 75% RNs and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists
• Fast-paced, nurse-driven department utilizing cutting-edge surgical technology
• Scrubs provided
• Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval and unit needs
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies, with non-local candidates prioritized
• All RTO must be submitted at time of offer for approval based on facility needs
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
