American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring prior post-cardiac procedure experience and NIH Stroke Scale certification.

• 3rd floor Telemetry unit, a 29-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Care for telemetry and post cardiac procedure patients, including PCI, PPM, ICD, and ablations
• Uses i-mobile phones, mobile computer workstations on wheels, Mobi Lab for lab draws, and Alaris IV pumps
• Documentation performed in Meditech
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) per week, including every other weekend
• Required to work holidays in rotation with permanent staff
• Travelers float first and may be assigned to the ED for inpatient holds, the telemetry monitoring room, or PCU

• Active RN license (SC or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 30 months of RN or LPN nursing experience required
• At least one previous successful travel nursing assignment required
• Proficient in reading telemetry strips
• Experience managing cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, and Dobutamine
• Skilled in phlebotomy, administering respiratory treatments (inhalers and nebulizers), and Foley catheter care and maintenance
• Experience with discharge planning, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and ancillary departments
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care for telemetry and post cardiac procedure patients, including time management of plans of care each shift
• Utilize bedside shift report, AIDET, and RN/MD rounding for patient experience standards
• Navy uniform required as part of the dress code
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
