* Primary Responsibilities:
** The Renewal Specialist is primarily responsible for negotiating and closing lease renewals with current residents in the assigned Market. This position provides superior customer service to residents during the leasing renewal process and is responsible for maintaining renewal-related metrics as assigned by the Renewal Manager. Review all documents pertaining to lease renewal process for accuracy before executing into property management system.
The Renewal Specialist will focus on increase occupancy retention rate to maintain resident occupancy and retention goals.
** Skills &
Competencies:
** Associate degree in Business, preferred or equivalent work experience2 years’ experience in multi-family or single-family rental,Section 8 experience, preferred
Leasing / Renewals experience, preferred
Knowledge of fair housing and local real estate laws, where applicable.
Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced preferred
Working knowledge of MRI, Yardi, and/or Onesite Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated customer service skills in fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented, with the ability to produce high-quality work in a deadline-oriented environment and an ability to multi-task Ability to prove critical thinking and problem-solving concepts
Ability to thrive in a high volume, data entry, and processing work environment, where applicable
Experience working in a work schedule environment, including in-office operations, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
Understands customer needs and requirements.
Other duties, as assigned by supervisor or leadership team.
