Overview

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. Compensation: $12.00 to $16.00 per hour with a commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed. Earn potential:
Up to 8% commission on transactions, which could average an additional $2.36 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate thrives on engaging with customers and assists with inquiries and problem resolution.

The work includes handling a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and display merchandise.
• Process sales and loan transactions per established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive team environment.
• Partner with employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (as required by law).
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Must be able to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on personal performance. Additional details are provided during the interview process.
