About the RoleThe Sales Development Representative (SDR) helps generate sales for Prospecting Account Executives (AE’s). The SDR is responsible for researching, engaging, and connecting prospective customers to the sales team, driving top‑of‑the‑funnel activity and creating pipeline. The position is quota‑bearing with monthly goals for scheduling qualified initial sales meetings and building pipeline.
What You’ll Be Doing- Contact a high volume of prospects by phone or email to initiate conversation, present value, and qualify for discovery calls
- Research and engage market prospects that fit the ideal customer profile and identify relevant contacts
- Identify prospects’ business needs and confirm our ability to meet them using Blackbaud solutions
- Adapt messaging to prospects’ needs and highlight relevant industry trends and diverse solutions
- Generate demand through targeted email campaigns
- Maintain outreach records in Salesforce
- Track and report on progress toward quarterly goals
- Meet regularly with assigned AEs and communicate updates
- Participate in professional development opportunities (shadowing, training, certification)
- Other job‑related duties as assigned
- Experience with high‑volume outbound contact (email & phone)
- Knowledge of technical or software product sales is a plus
- Familiarity with sales tools such as Linked In Sales Navigator, Salesloft, Consensus, Salesforce
- Track record of quota or measurable goal achievement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong time management and organizational skills

Starting base salary and commission ranges from $46,100 to $58,300, depending on experience and market.
