Laboratory Analyst-in-Training
GEL Laboratories, LLC is looking for a Laboratory Analyst-in-Training to join our General Chemistry Laboratory in Charleston, SC. This full-time day shift role focuses on sample preparation and basic bench‑top testing supporting environmental compliance programs for water, soil, and hazardous waste samples.

- Perform routine sample preparation activities (aliquoting, filtration, extraction, digestion, preservation).
- Conduct basic hazardous waste characterization tests (flashpoint, viscosity).
- Follow complex procedures involving sample preparation, instrumentation operation, and calibration.
- Enter data, perform initial data reduction, review data.
- Basic troubleshooting of methods and instrumentation.
- Review peers’ analytical data.
- Communicate with internal customers or auditors.
- Support GEL core values and conduct procedures that support other operations in the laboratory.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
- Minimum one year of related laboratory experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience operating basic laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Understanding of laboratory ware preparation procedures.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Work Monday‑Friday or Tuesday‑Saturday schedules.
