Overview

The Lead Fireplace Installer is responsible supervising and executing the installation of natural and engineered stone in both interior and exterior applications. The role ensures high-quality craftsmanship, compliance with safety and building codes, and coordination with other trades to meet project deadlines.

• Lead the installation of stone materials on construction projects.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, layout plans, and shop drawings.
• Prepare and level surfaces for stone installation; oversee cutting, shaping, and fitting of stone.
• Supervise and train installers.
• Ensure alignment, leveling, grouting, sealing, and finishing of installed stone meets aesthetic and technical standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers, designers, and other trades to ensure material availability and correct execution.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, durability, and compliance.
• Enforce site safety practices and conduct safety briefings.
• Maintain daily reports, track material usage, and assist in project documentation.
• Continue education to ensure current with latest regulations, safety initiatives, and overall awareness of products.
• Assist in warehouse related tasks when necessary.

• 3-5 years’ experience in stone installation or masonry work.
• Familiarity with operating cutting tools, grinders, polishers, and lifting equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of stone materials, adhesives, and sealants.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Trade certification in tiling or stone installation.
• Experience with large-scale commercial or luxury residential projects.
• Experience in working with both wet and dry fixing systems.
• Ability to use laser levels and digital measuring tools.
