An Audio Visual (AV) Installer at The Office People is responsible for the expert installation, configuration, and setup of AV equipment such as projectors, screens, and audio systems. This role includes conducting site assessments, troubleshooting technical issues, collaborating with design teams, instructing clients, managing inventory, and staying updated on industry trends. Ensuring safety and compliance during installations and providing excellent customer service are essential.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in AV is preferred.
• Proven experience as an AV installer or similar role.
• Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Familiarity with tools, testing, and troubleshooting equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work in various environments and adapt to schedules.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights or in confined spaces.

• Maintain a professional appearance and wear the company uniform.
• Travel to client sites for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Install AV equipment and conduct site evaluations.
• Train clients on system use and maintenance.
• Stay current with AV technologies and industry practices.
• Properly install and terminate copper and fiber optic cables.
• Perform system testing, documentation, and build-outs.
• Understand wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
• Lead crews when assigned, ensuring timely task completion.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

• Experience with AV, IT, and physical security systems.
• Knowledge of electrical and networking infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and complete training requirements.
• Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access construction sites.

• Work from heights using fall protection.
• Climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Lift up to 75 lbs, walk, stand, and bend.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

• Work indoors and outdoors under various conditions.
• Travel may be required based on project needs.
• Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and hazards.
• Typical hours:
  Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with support outside these hours as needed.
