Responsibilities
  • Objective: The Field Service Technician II provides on-site support at the Air Framer for Safran Aerospace Seats pertaining to interiors manufactured in USA, France and Great Britain. The team assists Air Framer / Airline customers during the build of the Aircraft, specifically for installation issues, damaged parts, reworking pickups, cosmetic defects and any customer relations issues. Rework areas include Receiving, BFE, Factory and Flight line relating to all built Aircraft with Safran Seats product.

    All rework performed must adhere to Safran Seats drawings, specifications and rework instructions. Reports to the OSS Manager on a daily basis. Handles moderately complex issues and refers more complex issues to higher-level technicians.
  • Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):
  • A) Rework and stamp pickups self-identified and/or written by Air Framer and/or customer during the build of the Aircraft.
  • B) Replace/troubleshoot faulty electronic components and other damaged parts, adjust misaligned panels / trim pieces, assist the Air Framer seat installation team and perform miscellaneous tasks.
  • C) Maintain a high-quality level of workmanship at all times.
  • D) Respond promptly to all communication with Air Framer personnel and customers.
  • E) Maintain a good rapport with Air Framer personnel and customers.
  • F) Follow Safran / Air Framer safety guidelines and processes established by the organization.
  • G) Submit accurate part order requests and understand the POA / SOA process at Air Framer / Safran.
  • H) Drive the company van and transport other technicians safely around Air Framer / Safran facilities.
  • I) Attend Safran daily standup/tie-in meeting.
  • J) Adhere to Safran / Air Framer training requirements related to Flight line, Safety and related courses.
  • K) Coordinate verbally with QA, Engineers, Leads, Technicians and other Air Framer / Safran personnel daily.
  • L) Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualification:
  • • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree in a related technical field preferred.
  • B) Work Experience - Technical knowledge:
  • • At least 2 years of Field Service experience related to troubleshooting and repairs required.
  • C) Professional

    Skills:
  • • Mechanical ability with hand and power tools
  • • Basic working knowledge of CMMs, Engineering Drawings and other technical documents
  • • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with MS Office
  • • Proficient using smartphones/tablets to send emails, photos and other applications
  • • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport
  • D) Behavioral
