ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision, performs full performance level work in multiple-step clerical tasks calling for interpretation and application of office procedures, rules and regulations. This position schedules inmate visits and verifies the identity of all facility visitors (attorneys, probation/parole, volunteers). Duties may include processing of inmate and facility mail, answering and directing phone calls, sorting and filing documents, and routine data entry.
May assist administrative staff with typing memos, reports and notices. Maintain hard copies of inmate files as well as utilizing the OIS system to input inmate file information. Will perform other duties as assigned. This position requires working and/or giving breaks at the switchboard.
1 Vacancy – Randolph County
- In accordance with SPB 3088 effective 10/7/23, $5,000 will be added to the minimum starting rate of pay for all classifications within a Critical Vacancy Pay Supplemental Facility.
- Employees in this classification shall receive an annual base building pay differential each fiscal year of $250 after completing one year of service.
- If an employee is hired into a Critical Vacancy Pay Facility (CVPF) and leaves the facility, the additional pay differential of $5,000 shall be removed from their salary, unless transferring to another CVPF.

Training and ExperienceTraining: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
