We are looking for a skilled and motivated Material Testing Project Representative to support our construction projects in Mason County, West Virginia as an independent contractor (1099). This is a field‑focused role that is central to the quality and success of our work, and a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and wants the flexibility of contract‑based work.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not an employee role. As an independent contractor, you will:

• Operate as your own business entity, responsible for your own tax filings, insurance, and equipment
• Be engaged on a per-project or per-assignment basis, with compensation set out in your contractor agreement
• Provide your own means of transportation between project sites unless otherwise negotiated
• Not be eligible for Thrasher's employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, etc.), consistent with independent contractor status

• Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil
• Interpret civil construction plans and specifications
• Adapt to varying project locations on a daily basis
• Communicate findings effectively through clear, accurate written reports
• Maintain current certification courses to continuously build skills…
