We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional care at our esteemed Cancer Center. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment, supporting a diverse adult patient population with a focus on oncology. With a commitment to excellence and a collaborative team, you will play a vital role in advancing patient outcomes and contributing to groundbreaking treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive Hematology/Oncology care to patients aged 18 and up
- Conduct inpatient and outpatient consultations, including specialized procedures like bone marrow biopsies
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, medical assistants, and advanced practitioners
- Manage a patient load of approximately 15 patients daily
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management
- Participate in on-call rotations every third week to support hospital needs
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in a clinical or hospital setting
- Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Cerner
- Ability to perform specialized procedures such as bone marrow biopsies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Clean background with pre-approval for licensing and background checks
Skills:
- Additional certifications such as BLS and ACLS
- Experience working in a hospital-based oncology department
- Familiarity with other electronic medical record systems
- Prior experience with inpatient and outpatient care coordination
Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Fellowship in Oncology
- At least 3 years of post-training clinical practice in oncology
- Availability to start by 02/03/2026
- Willingness to obtain temporary licensure if necessary
- Flexibility to work 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with inpatient call every third week
- Must support full-time coverage, offering a minimum of 3 weeks per month
