Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Gastroenterology

Geisinger Gastroenterology is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Join a large and dynamic gastroenterology and hepatology department! You will collaborate with other advanced practitioners, gastroenterologists, transplant hepatologists, advanced endoscopists, fellows, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the team. Patients seen in our clinic include general GI, advanced endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology and weight loss. A unique aspect of this position is assisting in the clinical management of patients who will be undergoing a new innovative endoscopic weight loss procedure (endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty).

You will function as a patient advocate in the medical care system as confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients, families, and physicians. Opportunities for continued education, teaching, and research are also available.

Reports clinically to the Chief AP/GI and administratively to the Operations Director. This role will also have a presence at our Geisinger Medical Center platform in Shamokin, Pennsylvania.

• Bachelor's Degree‑Physician Assistant (Required)
• Master's Degree‑Physician Assistant (Preferred)

• Certified Physician Assistant – National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Basic Life Support Certification – Default Issuing Body
