The Senior Corporate Trust Advisor is responsible for ongoing delivery of quality services to clients within the Corporate Trust Group, and provides an expert level of guidance and advice. The Corporate Trust Advisor stays abreast of market conditions and trends, develops new business, cross-trains team members and maintains the Group’s budget.

The Senior Corporate Trust Advisor is responsible for ongoing delivery of quality services to clients within the Corporate Trust Group, and provides an expert level of guidance and advice. The Corporate Trust Advisor stays abreast of market conditions and trends, develops new business, cross-trains team members and maintains the Group’s budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops a broad understanding and effectively presents our capabilities related to Corporate Trust Services.
  • Accountable for the full scope of account management of assigned clients, including but not limited to, daily transactions, reviewing balances and ensuring funds are invested properly.
  • Maintains compliance with policies and procedures to ensure superior client service, as well as acceptable audits and examinations.
  • Responsible for the review and documentation of new bond issues with assistance of counsel.
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly reports for bond payments.
  • Responsible for reviewing all client fee invoices for accuracy and collection of past due invoices.
  • Maintains good relationships with attorneys, underwriters, commercial lenders and other centers of influence for referrals.
  • Is fully engaged in new business development activities.
  • Identifies cross-selling opportunities within existing relationships to better serve clients and increase revenues, particularly in the areas of deposits and investment management services.
  • Coaches, trains and evaluates performance of Corporate Trust Group team members.
  • Supports overall goals of the Wealth Management Group by adhering to budget and growing business.
  • Works closely with others in department on various other duties and projects as necessary.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Professional designation preferred (i.e., advanced degree, CCTS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, etc.) and utilizing the internet required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional working experience required.
  • Prior experience working in sales is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for client meetings and bond closings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to review and interpret documents.
  • Understanding of basic accounting and budgeting concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Essential Functions

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.
  • Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization.
  • Ability to observe, perceive, identify and translate data.
  • Ability to travel via airplane, bus, train and/or automobile.
